On Interdependence and the Soft Circle of Grace
Hear this teaching, not as a fixed law, but as an unfolding path.
You seek to know the exact hour of the Kingdom, the precise measure of the Way. You search for the final word, the unmoving doctrine. But I tell you, the Kingdom is not a fixed point in time, nor is the Way a line drawn in the dust. It is a "circa," a soft circle you draw with your life, always around the mystery, always in the grace of becoming.
Do not be troubled by the "in-between." It is where life breathes.
On Polarity and the One Web
The One—the Father—does not create in sharp edges. He breathes, and in His breath, heaven and earth find each other. Mind and matter are but two hands washing.
You see "this" and "that." You name "light" and "dark," "subject" and "object," "myself" and "the other." You make these small distinctions, and your mind is lost in confusion, for you have built a house on the shifting sand of preference.
Let go. These are not separate things, but the pulse of a single heart. The light does not fight the shadow; it defines it. The man and the woman, the mountain and the valley, the being and the non-being—these are not two, but a holy exchange. This is the dance of interdependence.
You are not in this web; you are the web.
On the Movement of Grace
Creation is not a past event. It is the "circa" of this very moment. It is the dynamic, mutual movement between all things.
The seed does not judge the soil. The rain does not condemn the sun. They move in a mystery of exchange, and from this, life is generated. This is the creative power. It is not in the thunder, but in the breath between the thunderclap and the silence.
This is the fluidity of faith. You are not striving to be at peace; you are simply allowing yourself to be around it, as the earth is around the sun.
On the Ethic of No-Self
When you see this—not with the eyes, but with the heart—the small "I" that wishes to acquire and control dissolves. How can you be acquisitive, when all things are already your own in the One? How can you live by ego, when your very self is woven from your neighbor?
Therefore, the plank in your own eye is the speck in your brother's. To love your enemy is to heal your own heart. When you bless those who curse you, you break the illusion of "this" and "that," and you stand in the center of the Way.
This is the ethic of "circa": to live gently, knowing you are only "around" the truth, and so is everyone else. Where, then, is the place for judgment?
On the Acceptance of the Journey
Let go of your need for the final answer. The mystery is not a door to be unlocked, but a home to be lived in.
Your journey is the destination. Your imperfection is the grace. Your not-knowing is the beginning of wisdom.
Be at peace in the "in-between," for that is where the Kingdom is found. Not as a treasure to be locked away, but as the air you breathe. Live this way, and you are not far from the Way. You are "circa" the very heart of God.
